Modules you can drive over MCP
Ondes PRO Kanban: project boards your AI can run
Ondes PRO’s Kanban is reachable by your AI assistant through your workspace’s MCP server. Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or Visual Studio Code can read your boards, create cards with due dates and checklists, move them across columns and leave comments — with your permissions, and in plain sight: a card created by the AI shows up live for every teammate who has the board open.
Type your workspace name: the configurations on this page adapt. It is remembered in this browser only.
Plan a product launch in one request
Atelier Lumen is about to release its Brass pendant light. The project lead describes the work in one sentence; the assistant builds the cards in the existing board.
What can an AI do with a Kanban board over MCP?
A Kanban MCP server gives the assistant what it needs to work like a member of the team: list boards and their columns, find a card by title, create a card with assignees and a due date, move it forward, tick a checklist item, add a label or leave a comment. It works on your workspace’s live data, not on yesterday’s export.
What sets it apart from a standalone project tool is everything around it. Ondes PRO’s Kanban sits next to invoicing, inventory and the calendar, so a single request can open the production card, check brass stock and book the installation slot. The MCP server overview covers the eight tools that make this work.
Kanban API resources the assistant works with
All of them go through the ondes_appeler tool, under /api/v1/. The assistant reads their sheet with ondes_ressource before using them.
| Resource | What it holds | Example requests |
|---|---|---|
kanban/tableaux | Project boards | “Which boards have overdue cards?” |
kanban/colonnes | A board’s columns, in order | “Move the card to Review.” |
kanban/cartes | Cards: title, description, due date, assignees | “Create a card for Maison Verdier, due Friday.” |
kanban/checklists | A card’s checklist items | “Tick ‘white background’ on the photos card.” |
kanban/commentaires | Comments on a card | “Note that the client signed off the prototype.” |
kanban/etiquettes | Labels | “Label the trade-show cards ‘Urgent’.” |
kanban/dossiers | How boards are grouped into folders | “Put the site boards in the Hotels folder.” |
Cards created by the AI appear live for your teammates
In Ondes PRO, live board updates do not depend on which screen made the change. Whether a card comes from the web app, the mobile app, the API or your assistant over MCP, everyone with the board open sees it arrive without reloading. Nobody has to wonder whether the AI “actually did something”.
What each screen receives is still filtered by permissions: if a role cannot see cards carrying a restricted label, it will not see that card when the AI creates it either. The live channel only announces that a board changed; each person then reloads what they are allowed to see.
Connect your assistant to your Kanban
Check your role
Your role needs the Kanban module and the API & Developers module. A module you cannot open stays invisible to the assistant.
Add your workspace’s MCP server
In your client (Claude, Cursor, VS Code…), add the address below as an MCP server. Type your subdomain at the top of the page to fill it in.
urlhttps://your-workspace.ondes.pro/mcp/Authorise the connection
A window from your workspace opens: sign in and read the consent screen, which spells out what the connection will be able to do.
Start with an overview
Begin with a read: “List my overdue cards, board by board.” Then move on to creating cards, which the assistant can dry-run first.
Safeguards when the AI writes to your boards
- Dry run before writing: with
simuler: true, the assistant checks that a card is valid and shows what would be created, without saving anything. - Idempotency: a request replayed after a network drop never creates the same card twice.
- Your permissions, no more: the assistant only sees the boards your role opens, and writes nowhere else.
- Several companies: if you run more than one, the assistant targets the one you name; a subsidiary’s boards stay hidden from its sister companies.
- A plan to approve: through the built-in assistant (
ondes_assistant), reorganising boards comes as a plan that runs only once you agree.
For developers: syncing a Kanban board with another tool
A developer linking Ondes PRO to an in-house tool can let a coding assistant write the integration: it reads the exact kanban/cartes sheet with ondes_ressource, checks ondes_impossible so it never invents a route, then writes the code. Boards and cards emit lifecycle events (created, updated, deleted) that an external service can subscribe to through signed webhooks — ondes_exemple provides the recipe.
For a script that runs unattended, use an API key scoped to the Kanban module rather than an OAuth connection: it can never step outside that scope. The guide to building an integration walks through it, and MCP vs REST API helps you pick the right entry point.

Frequently asked questions
Can an MCP server connect to a Kanban board?
Yes. In Ondes PRO, Kanban is one of the modules exposed by each workspace’s MCP server. Any MCP-compatible assistant can read and change boards, columns, cards, checklists, labels and comments, within the connected person’s permissions.
Do my teammates see the cards the AI creates?
Yes, right away. The board updates live for everyone who has it open, whatever made the change: web, mobile, API or an assistant connected over MCP. Each person only sees the cards their role allows.
Could the AI delete a board by mistake?
It only acts with your permissions, and your AI client normally asks before running any tool that writes. For narrower access, use a read-only Kanban API key: a key never goes beyond the scopes it was given.
Do I need a specific plan to drive Kanban over MCP?
No. Kanban and the MCP server are included in every Ondes PRO plan — Essentiel, Pro and Entreprise. See pricing.
Which AI assistants can manage my Kanban boards?
Any MCP client that connects over HTTP: Claude, ChatGPT in developer mode, Cursor, Visual Studio Code with GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Zed, Cline or JetBrains IDEs. Our team has tested Claude end to end; the others follow the standard protocol.
How does the assistant know which column “Doing” is?
It reads the board’s columns through kanban/colonnes before acting, then uses their identifiers. It does not guess: each resource sheet, served by ondes_ressource, gives it the exact fields.
Plug your AI into your business
The MCP server is included in every plan, with no add-on or extra fee.
