# Ondes PRO and Stripe: take payments in your online store

> Connect your Stripe account to your Ondes PRO store in one click with Stripe Connect: money lands in your account, one account per company, test mode included.

Updated on 2026-10-21 · The Ondes PRO team · https://ondes.pro/en/integrations/stripe

The Ondes PRO online store collects payments through **Stripe Connect**: you link your Stripe account in a few clicks, with no secret key to copy, and the money from your sales lands **straight in your own Stripe account**, with no Ondes PRO commission. Each company in your group can have its own account, and a **test mode** lets you rehearse the whole checkout without collecting a cent.

## How to connect Stripe to your online store

Only the workspace superuser can do this, because it decides where the money goes.

1. **Open the payment settings** — In your workspace admin, open **Configuration**, Payments section. If your group runs several companies, switch first to the one that should collect the payments.
2. **Click “Connect Stripe”** — You are sent to Stripe, where you sign in to your account or create one. There is no Stripe API key to paste into Ondes PRO.
3. **Authorise Ondes PRO** — Once you approve, Stripe sends you back to your workspace. The card shows the account name, when it was connected and whether it takes live payments or runs in test mode.
4. **Place a test order** — Before opening the store to the public, place a test-mode order to check the checkout flow, the confirmation email and the order status change.

## One Stripe account per company, falling back to the parent

In a group, each subsidiary can link its own Stripe account: its sales are collected there, with its own webhook signing secret. A subsidiary that has linked nothing collects through the parent company’s account, and the screen says so plainly (“Parent company account”) so nobody assumes the store is not selling.

For shoppers, the public checkout works out the company from the products in the basket. A basket mixing two companies’ products is refused: one payment cannot be split across two accounts.

## What happens once a payment goes through

- **The order status updates** in [the Ondes PRO store](https://ondes.pro/en/integrations/mcp/modules/online-store), with its lines frozen at the price paid.
- **The promo code is used up**, the confirmation email goes out and the configured notifications are sent.
- **No duplicates**: these effects are idempotent, whether triggered by the Stripe webhook, the browser return or the API.
- **Your website can be told** through a signed `commande.payee` webhook, and send its own confirmation if you prefer.

## Test a payment without Stripe, from your assistant

_Example conversation · demo data (Atelier Lumen)_

> **You** : Place a test order for two Trépied lamps so we can check our site receives the payment notification.
>
> 🔧 `ondes_ressource` Reads the `shop/commandes` sheet: expected fields, and whether a test twin exists.
>
> 🔧 `ondes_appeler` `POST shop/commandes` — **test mode** stated in the response, simulated payment created.
>
> **Assistant** : The test order is in place: nothing goes through Stripe and it stays out of your revenue. Here is the link to the mock checkout page; once you confirm it, the delivery to your test webhook will show up in the log.

> **No Stripe secret key to copy** — The link uses Stripe Connect OAuth, handled by the Ondes PRO platform: you never paste a Stripe secret key into your admin, and the Connect platform key never leaves Ondes PRO. Disconnecting is one button on the same card. The rest of our approach is on the [security](https://ondes.pro/en/security) page.

## Link subsidiaries’ Stripe accounts through the API

A platform that spins up subsidiaries in bulk can drive this setup with the `shop/comptes-stripe` resource of the [REST API](https://ondes.pro/en/integrations/rest-api). Reading the state (which account applies to which company) works with a read key; linking or unlinking an account requires a superuser, exactly as in the admin.

The authorisation at Stripe itself cannot be scripted: the API returns a URL to open in a browser, and the account lands in the company named in the signed request, not in whatever the return URL says.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Ondes PRO take a cut of my sales?

No. Money goes straight to your Stripe account and Ondes PRO takes no commission. Only the fees in your own Stripe agreement apply.

### Do I need a Stripe account already?

No. When you click “Connect Stripe”, you can sign in to an existing account or create one on Stripe’s page, then come back to your workspace.

### Can each subsidiary collect into its own account?

Yes. Each company links its account and receives its own webhooks. A subsidiary without one collects through the parent company’s account.

### How do I test the store without taking real money?

Two ways: link a Stripe account in test mode, or use Ondes PRO’s test mode under `/api/v1/test/`, which simulates payment without Stripe at all. Those test orders stay out of revenue figures and exports.

### Who can connect or disconnect Stripe?

Only the workspace superuser, in the admin and through the API alike, because that action decides where the money goes.

### How is my Ondes PRO subscription paid?

That is separate from the store: the Ondes PRO subscription is paid by card or SEPA Direct Debit when you sign up. See [pricing](https://ondes.pro/en/pricing).
